Chief Executive Officer of Gas Strategies, Pat’s experience in the past fifteen years has been particularly focused on the Electricity sector (Distribution, Supply and Generation) and on Gas.

He also has twenty five years' experience as a management consultant, financial director and accountant in both professional and industrial environments covering a number of areas:

Pat has become known for his thought leadership and strategic thinking in each element of the energy value-chain as it has experienced successive stages of competitive and shareholder value challenge in deregulation. Pat led the Energy Strategy and Energy Trading & Risk Management services of Deloitte Consulting in Europe from 1998 – 2004, and then spent a period providing independent consulting support to a number of major European utilities.

with a European utility seeking entry to the Upstream, leading the feasibility study for a new LNG regasification project in the Caribbean, support to an NOC in the design and evaluation phase of a pre-qualification process to short list potential investors in the domestic gas sector, leading an assignment to support a European utility to develop a gas sourcing and implementation plan and conducting the financial analysis in a major competitor study which looked at the response of 25 European companies to new competitive threats and opportunities in the liberalising European market.
