French energy company Engie will not be exiting its LNG business as some reports had suggested earlier this week, but will instead look to exit its coal-fired power and oil production activities, according to news sources quoting CEO Isabelle Kocher.
An official at Engie trade union CGT had suggested that the company was looking to sell its LNG business and could cut up to 10,000 jobs over the next three years.
