Greece launched its latest exploration and production tender on Monday, offering offshore blocks following an expression of interest by the country’s only offshore hydrocarbon producer Energean and a separate consortium of Total, Exxon Mobil and Hellenic Petroleum.
Energean lodged an interest in a single block off the west coast of Greece, in the Ionia Sea, while the consortium containing the two majors and Hellenic Petroleum registered an interest in two blocks off the southern island of Crete.
