Lebanon has added eight oil and gas exploration companies to the list of firms now qualified to participate in its long-delayed maiden offshore licensing round.
The new pre-qualified companies include ONGC Videsh of India, which has had its status upgraded to operator having pre-qualified as non-operator in the 2013 round. This brings the total number of pre-qualified operators to 13, among them ExxonMobil, Chevron and Shell.
