National Grid forecasts a smooth summer for gas and electricity

In its Summer Outlook Report for visual_editor009, National Grid (NG) says it is confident that gas demand in Great Britain will be met in all but exceptional circumstances. There is the usual operational uncertainty about exactly which sources of supply will be used, and therefore which terminals will be busy. NG expects a 5-10% decline in gas from the UKCS to be offset by more gas from Norway and possibly LNG imports into the two terminals at Milford Haven – South Hook and Dragon LNG. South Hook received its commissioning cargo on March visual_editor0 while Dragon is scheduled to receive its first cargo in May/June.
