Royal Dutch Shell has sought to play down the significance of reports that one of its LNG cargoes was diverted due to the deepening diplomatic crisis engulfing the Gulf Cooperation Council area and wider Middle East region.
The oil major, which has offices in the United Arab Emirates capital Abu Dhabi, said it has not experienced any operational issues from the dispute – despite reports emerging that an LNG cargo was diverted from the US to Dubai due to apparent difficulties exporting from Qatar.
