Woodside sets LNG production record, expects increase in 2017

Australia’s largest independent gas producer Woodside Petroleum produced a company record 7.5 mtpa of LNG in 2016 and expects to further increase output this year thanks to the Wheatstone export project.

The record LNG production was 9% greater than the previous record set in 2014. Taken together with gas, liquids and oil volumes, Woodside produced 94.9 million boe last year, a 3% gain on 2015 and its second-highest level of annual output on record.
