The Axxela interview: Bolaji Osunsanya, CEO

Axxela -- formerly Oando Gas & Power – sees big opportunities within Nigeria as energy reforms are implemented, and in the wider West Africa region as demand for natural gas grows. In this exclusive interview conducted at the World Gas Conference in Washington DC, CEO Bolaji Osunsanya speaks to Gas Matters about the multi-faceted strategy of one of the nation’s foremost private gas companies. He also gives his view on the progress Nigerian president Muhammadu Buhari has made on energy sector reforms, as the end of his first term in office approaches. Axxela’s latest initiatives include mini-LNG to create “virtual pipelines”, a proposal to create an LNG import capability with a floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), and a move into gas processing.
