What geographical regions does the database cover?
The LNG Data Service is global.  Categorised by three regions: Atlantic Basin, Asia Pacific and Middle East.

What units are used in the database?
The database gives all capacity and volume information in MTPA and Bcm/a. All prices are given in US $ / MMBtu.  Landed US prices can be automatically converted into $ / MMcf.

What LNG prices are given in the pricing sheets?
The LNG Data Service covers pricing into the main markets. Prices into Europe are calculated landed prices based on our Pricing Service. Prices for the US, Japan, South Korea and Taiwan are all landed prices based on information received from relevant customs agencies and represent weighted average price by source, by month. We do not include forward prices.  These are available in our Pricing Service.

Does the database track LNG cargo movements?
The Database contains information on LNG Carriers and those on order, but it does not track their trade movements.

What are our sources of information?
All our news sources are given in the service so that all primary information can be read in full by our users. We generally use the Gas Matters publications, Reuters, Bloomberg as well as print media.  We regularly check project websites and company websites to confirm the accuracy and currency of information. Where information is not available online it is sourced through direct contact.

How often is the service updated?
The service is updated weekly each Friday afternoon. Each user receives a weekly email containing that week’s LNG news, and the updates to the database that have taken place. This makes it easy to stay up to date with all the latest LNG industry developments.

How do I access the service?
Subscribers access the service by logging in to our website.  Once you are logged you can download the service.

In what format is the service delivered?
We deliver the service in Microsoft Excel format.
