Cheniere intends to have 60 mtpa of LNG production capacity by visual_editor0visual_editor5. To run all its capacity it would have to become one of the largest buyers of natural gas in the US – a volume of around 8 Bcf/d. Financing its ambitions will require more than USD 50 billion of capital expenditure. And yet Cheniere has yet to produce a single drop of LNG. Has the company bitten off more than it can chew?
