Iraq launches processing plant to feed 60 MW power plant

A new processing plant has started operating in Maysan province in south-east Iraq near the Iran border, which will receive gas that was previously flared, according to the Iraqi oil ministry.
The plant will process output from state-owned Maysan Oil’s Fakka and Bazargan fields, which currently produce 10 MMcf/day (103 MMcm/year) at could reach as much 250 MMcf/day (2.6 Bcm/year).
