South Korea’s KOGAS has signed a memorandum of understanding to develop a land-based LNG import terminal in north-east Brazilian port city of Pecem, the government of Ceara state has confirmed.
The non-binding deal envisions KOGAS cooperating with compatriots Posco E&C and Daewoo to build the 12 MMcm/day (3.17 mpta) capacity regasification terminal, the Ceara government said, adding that a feasibility study would come next.
