State-owned Engineers India (EIL) and Gazprom signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) last week to perform a feasibility study of a gas pipeline between Russia and India.
The proposed project could cost up to USD 25 billion, making it the most expensive pipeline in the world due to geological challenges and the vast distance between the two countries. The interconnector could be up to 6,000 km in length, according to estimates.
