Kazakhstan has restarted gas and oil production from the giant Kashagan field in the Caspian Sea, three years after output was suspended due to pipeline infrastructure issues.
The Intergas Central Asia Pipeline moved 22.8 MMcm/day (805 MMcf/day), while the privately-owned CPC oil pipeline carried a maiden load and additional crude volumes flowed on the KazTransOil line, the Kazakh energy ministry said late last week.
