The consortium building a gas-fired power plant at the 8.4 mtpa Ichthys LNG export project in Australia has terminated its contract. The power station was reportedly 89% complete at the time.
JKC Australia had awarded a contract to contract to a joint venture between engineering firms UGL and CH2M to design, build and commission a combined-cycle gas turbine (CCGT) unit to power the USD 34 billion Ichthys liquefaction plant.
