Natural gas demand will continue to grow robustly over the coming two decades as the world moves towards a less carbon-intensive economy, according to the latest long-term outlook released by BP on Wednesday afternoon.
Playing a vital supporting role will be LNG, as international trade grows seven times faster than pipeline trade, given it a half share of all gas traded internationally by 2035 – up from a third today, the UK major said.
