First Nations groups in Canada have secured rights to monitor impacts of Petronas’ proposed Pacific Northwest LNG development in British Columbia.
Two indigenous groups collectively known as the Coast Tsimshian signed an agreement with the federal and BC governments to play a central role in environmental and compliance monitoring. Federal and provincial regulatory authorities will also participate.
