Gazprom has kicked off the construction of the 910 km offshore section of the 31.5 Bcm TurkStream pipeline in the Black Sea near the Russian coast, the company said in a statement on Sunday.
Audacia, a vessel owned by Allseas – construction contractor for the both of the 15.75 Bcm TurkStream offshore trunks – will lay the pipes and pull them through microtunnels. A second vessel, Pioneering Spirit, will carry out pipeline construction works in the deep-water area.
