The government of Taiwan released additional details last week about the country’s eight-year green energy development plan designed to wean the LNG-importing country off coal and nuclear and onto low carbon alternatives.
The island nation will increase renewable generation from 4.8% in 2016 to 20% by 2025, and natural gas plants from 32.4% in 2016 to 50% in the same period, the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) said.
