South Korea’s state-run energy company KOGAS has launched a bid to take on the established floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) players, after signing a joint venture agreement with five compatriot shipping companies.
The consortium, including H-Line Shipping, Pan Ocean, Hyundai LNG Shipping, SK Shipping and Korea Line Corporation, are looking to bid to operate overseas FSRU projects.
