Qatargas 4 plans for 50% of cargoes to head east

Qatar Petroleum and Royal Dutch Shell, the developers of the giant Qatargas 4 LNG project, have decided to ship around half the liquefaction plant’s planned 7.8 mtpa output to Dubai and China, instead of North America, Gerrit-Jan Smitskamp, Shell’s regional finance vice president said earlier this week in Doha.
