The prime ministers of the Baltic states have renewed efforts to jointly progress plans for LNG infrastructure across the three states in the hope of securing financing from the European Commission (EC).
Prime ministers of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia meet last week in Latvia at the Inčukalns underground gas storage facility to pursue the development of a joint LNG market for the region, which is reportedly understood to incorporate the operational LNG terminal in Klaipėda, Lithuania, the planned terminal in Paldiski, Estonia, and the Inčukalns facility.
