Reports on Thursday suggested that BG Group had received two final bids for its 65% stake in Gujarat Gas before the bidding deadline on Thursday. The final bid– one from a three-member consortium led by state-run Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) – was for around $900 million, which is the figure touted as the amount needed to seal the deal. BG Group has reportedly received up to seven bids for its Gujarat stake, including bids from Indian trio Adani Group, GAIL India and Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation.
