Eni CEO Paolo Scaroni said on Wednesday that Eni could reduce its 70% operatorship in Offshore Area 4 of Mozambique’s Rovuma Basin to around 50% by farming in new partners. Scaroni said the company had received enquiries from a host of major oil and gas companies hoping to take an equity stake in Eni’s giant Mamba Complex gas discoveries, estimated to hold around 30 Tcf of gas in place. Eni could sanction a development at Mamba in visual_editor013, Scaroni said.
