LNGgc 2016: Croatia LNG import project eyes startup in 2018

Croatia LNG aims to recruit new shareholders for its proposed floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU) by the end of this year and begin operations in late 2018, CEO Mladen Antunovic said at the Informa LNGgc conference in London on Wednesday.

The state-backed project has been on the table for the best part of a decade. Current market conditions signal the right moment to press ahead with the terminal project on the island of Krk in western Croatia, he said.
