Nexus Energy teams up with Shell, Osaka Gas to develop Australia’s Crux gas field

Australia’s Nexus Energy said on Thursday that it has formed a joint venture with Shell and Osaka Gas to develop the Crux gas field in Western Australia’s Browse Basin. Shell will hold an 80% interest in the project and act as operator, while Nexus will hold a 17% stake and Osaka Gas 3%. The Crux field is expected to supply Shell's Prelude FLNG project, off the coast of northwest Australia, which will be the world's first FLNG plant.
