Norwegian authorities have given the greenlight to expand the Nyhamna gas plant in northwest Norway that will help increase production at the flagging Ormen Lange field.
Approval from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) opens the door to a boost in export volumes from the Shell-operated assets, which provide around 20% of UK gas demand.
