Ofgem approves £57 million fund to improve Britain’s existing power grids

Energy regulator Ofgem has awarded £57 million ($88.9 million) in funding to be shared amongst six projects in an effort to make Britain’s local power grids “smarter”. The projects could reduce the need to invest in new network assets by making better use of existing infrastructure, Ofgem said.
