India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) is poised to sign a wide-ranging Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Japan’s Mitsui for cooperation on gas and LNG projects, according to the Hindu newspaper. ONGC will collaborate with Mitsui to develop LNG terminals, including at Mangalore, study new LNG transportation technologies, jointly bid for acreage in upcoming exploration rounds and look into shale gas opportunities.
