Qatar plans to begin operation at its USD 10 billion Barzan gas project in November, two years after originally planned, according to reports.
The project in the offshore North Field reservoir is a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and Exxon Mobil and is operated by Qatar’s second-biggest LNG producer RasGas. A substantial amount of production expected to go to the power sector.
