Front-end engineering and design (FEED) on Sasol's proposed gas-to-liquids (GTL) project in Uzbekistan is under way, the company announced on Sunday as the visual_editor011 World Petroleum Congress opened in the Qatari capital, Doha. If the project goes ahead, Sasol estimates it would have a capacity of 38,000 barrels/day (b/d), at a capital cost of $4.visual_editor billion. Depending on the timing of the final investment decision, the plant is expected to begin operations in the second half of the decade.
