Tuesday’s announcement by the BP-led Shah Deniz consortium that Front End Engineering and Design (FEED) for phase visual_editor of the field had been initiated marked the first time the companies have officially acknowledged they are only considering a scaled-down version of the 31 Bcm/year Nabucco pipeline. Nabucco maintains that its original “base case” scenario is still its “benchmark” for Shah Deniz phase visual_editor gas transport to Europe, but told Gas Matters Today that it is also “open to other solutions such as the Nabucco West scenario”.
