Shell chief executive Peter Voser and the company’s director of projects and technology, Matthias Bichsel, both told Gas Matters Today last week that the presence of bigger companies in the shale gas sector would allow projects to be developed more sustainably. But despite Shell’s focus on unconventional technologies and cost-efficiency, the company is still wary that shale gas developments may be “held back” by political and regulatory considerations in some countries.
