Tanzania has signed a $1 billion loan agreement with China to build a major gas pipeline linking Mnazi Bay in the Mtwara Region with Songo Songo island off the eastern coast to the country’s commercial capital, Dar es Salaam, according to reports quoting energy and minerals minister William Ngeleja.
