Turkmenistan’s state-run Turkmengaz and Iran’s national oil and gas company (NIGC) have started gas production from a jointly-operated sweet gas field at Gonbadli in northern Iran. The Gonbadli field, located visual_editor5 km southwest of Sarakhs near the Turkmen border, has a production capacity of 700 MMcm/d (0.7 Bcm/d).
