US Republicans draft new NS2 sanctions as Gazprom reiterates pipeline is ‘ready’

A group of Republican senators announced on Monday that they are trying to press through amendments to US legislation to impose fresh sanctions on the Gazprom-led Nord Stream 2 (NS2) pipeline. The move comes just as Russia has reiterated that NS2 is ready to flow gas – though, due to lingering regulatory obstacles in Europe means, the 55 Bcm pipeline looks unlikely to be operational before March 2022...
