YPF in discussions with Gazprom for LNG supply

Argentina’s YPF is in discussions with Gazprom to secure LNG supply for the country, Latin America’s third largest economy, the company said on Tuesday. During talks in Moscow, the two companies also agreed to consider jointly developing conventional and unconventional gas resources in Argentina. YPF, which was nationalised by President Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner earlier this year, is looking for partners to invest in the massive Vaca Muerta shale deposits in the Neuquén Basin.
