But as the reality of meeting the Intended Nationally Determined Contributions (INDCs) by 2040 starts to bite, gas has started to fall out of favour as a long-term destination fuel in a carbon constrained world. In its place, renewable gas threatens to usurp natural gas as the “acceptable” option, if not immediately “available” or “affordable”.
