A further dispute with landowners forced Exxon Mobil to temporarily stop construction in an area of its $15.7 billion Papua New Guinea LNG venture on Friday. According to reports, the work was temporarily suspended after local residents in the Southern Highlands threatened workers at the plant amid demands for compensation for their land.
