Netherlands-based Royal Vopak is part of a consortium planning to build an LNG terminal in the Pengerang region in the Malaysian state of Johor, according to reports on Thursday. The news comes a few months after Malaysia – the world’s second largest LNG exporter – launched its first regasification terminal at Melaka, 160 km south of Kuala Lumpur, in a bid to meet growing domestic demand.
