Western Australia gas supply may resume by late August
Western Australia will have its current gas shortfall partially restored before mid-August, a government official said earlier today. The region has been suffering from a 30% cut in gas supplies since the June 3 explosion on Apache Corp.'s Varanus Island hub, and while residential users have not yet suffered power outages, industrial customers and utility suppliers have faced significant shortfalls.
