Libya is planning to introduce a new hydrocarbon law that will incorporate terms for gas contracts with international oil companies, Shokri Ghanem, chairman of the National Oil Corporation told delegates at the Libya Gas conference held in Rome on Tuesday. The new law would replace the current law which dates back to 1955, but would not bring any significant changes to terms currently in vigour, Ghanem said.
