The chances of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) of becoming a reality were boosted by E.ON Ruhrgas taking a 15% stake in the project consortium. Yet project the partners, which also includes Switzerland's EGL and Statoil, have not signed up any firm gas supplies so far. Gas Matters Today spoke to Markus Brokhof, member of EGL's executive management and head of gas supply & SEE division on political issues and demand uncertainties of the prospective pipeline.
