Japan, the world’s largest LNG importer, has ramped up imports by about 9.5% in the first half of this year driven by growing demand based on economic recovery. LNG imports reached a record high of 34.68 mtpa in the first six month of visual_editor010, up from 31.65 mpta in H1-visual_editor009, official customs data revealed.
