US upstream company Apache has agreed to supply 800 Mcm/d of gas from the southern Neuquen province to Pampa Energia, Argentina’s largest power producer, at a cost of $5/MMBtu. The gas will be used to feed the 180 MW expansion of Pampa’s Loma de la Lata thermal power plant, which should be completed this year.
