The dispute between Spain’s Gas Natural and Algeria’s state-owned Sonatrach over the price of long-term gas delivered via the Maghreb-Europe pipeline continues. Gas Natural has recently appealed on “procedural grounds,” to the International Court of Arbitration in Geneva against a ruling in favour of Sonatrach this summer, which left Gas Natural to make up for two year’s worth of underpayments- reportedly worth up around $1.5 billion.
