Equatorial Guinea (EG) has massive opportunities for gas gathering and utilisation by reducing gas flaring, Domingo Mba Esono, presidential advisor on hydrocarbons, said in London today. “The new hydrocarbon law has prohibited gas flaring in EG, but nevertheless many operators are still carrying out flaring allegedly for safety reason in upstream development. So the whole potential of gas monetisation has not been reached,” he said at the Gulf of Guinea conference.
