The UK government has approved the construction of a new pressure reduction gas installation (PRI) at Tirley in Gloucestershire. The project will increase the rate at which gas can be injected into the grid from the South Hook and Dragon LNG terminals to enable them to transmit at 100% capacity. The terminals are currently transmitting at 80% of capacity, National Grid told Gas Matters Today.
