Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula LNG, the first and still the only operational liquefaction plant in North America is to close after 41 years. The two owners, ConocoPhillips and Marathon Oil were unable to renew their supply contracts with Tokyo Gas and Tokyo Electric (Tepco).
