Mining giant BHP Billiton said Tuesday it has agreed to pay $4.75 billion for a stake in Chesapeake Energy's Fayetteville Shale gas assets in Arkansas. The deal covers 487,000 net acres and 400 MMcf/d (11.3 MMcm/d) of natural gas production.
